Derek Sievers (shot put) and Steven Bastien (heptathlon) will compete for the Maize and Blue at the NCAA Indoor Championships March 13-14.

Mason Ferlic clocked a PR in winning the 5,000m race, while Chris Maye clocked in first in the 60m dash at the Big Ten Indoor Championships, where U-M earned its highest finish (5th) since 2009.

The Wolverines scored in the shot put, DMR and 3,000m and find themselves in fifth place at the halfway point of the Big Ten Indoor Championships.

The championship season commences for the Maize and Blue this week as the squad competes Friday and Saturday at the Big Ten Championships in Geneva, Ohio. Action begins at 10 a.m. each day.

In the team's final tuneup week before the Big Ten Championships, U-M recorded six top-three performances and recorded five personal bests competing at both the Silverston and Alex Wilson Invitational.

Michigan will host the Silverston Invitational (10:30 a.m.) and send athletes to Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational (11 a.m.) on Saturday (Feb. 21) in the final events before the Big Ten Championships.
