The Wolverines began their 2015 season with the 5,000m EMU Celebration on Saturday morning with Mason Ferlic taking top honors at 14:56.1.

The Wolverines will return from training at the U-M Bio Station as the 2015 season is slated to begin this Saturday (Sept. 5) at the EMU Celebration in Ypsilanti.

The Wolverines, who open the season Friday (Sept. 5) at EMU, are listed 12th in the USTFCCCA national preseason poll.

Fifth-year senior Mason Ferlic and junior Ben Flanagan shared their thoughts on preseason camp at the U-M Bio Station in Pellston, Michigan, where the Wolverines are putting the final touches on prep for the 2015 season.

The Maize and Blue brings back six of its seven athletes that competed at last season's 2014 NCAA Championships and gets the season going on Sept. 5 at the EMU Open.

Mason Ferlic, Ben Flanagan and August Pappas each received USTFCCCA All-Academic distinction, helping the Wolverines secure All-Academic team honors for the first time since 2012.
