The Wolverines are eager to begin the 2016 season, building off a pair of top-five conference finishes last year while returning both All-Americans and 13 of 14 NCAA Regional competitors.

Middle-distance athlete Jamie Morrissey earned Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week honors after winning the mile with a new PR at the GVSU Holiday Open.

The 2016 season commences this weekend for the Wolverines, who make the short trip to Grand Valley State for the GVSU Holiday Open Friday afternoon (Dec. 4, 3 p.m.).

Michigan's 2016 slate features 18 regular-season events and is highlighted by the Meyo Invite in the indoor season and the Pac-12 vs. Big 12 Challenge as well as UNC's Battle of the Blues during the outdoor season.
