The Wolverines are ranked No. 22 in the USTFCCCA Division I National Cross Country Coaches' Preseason Poll, marking the program's highest inaugural ranking since 2009.

With the season just around the corner, the U-M headed to the U-M BioStation in Pellston, Mich., for a week of training and team bonding.

Former Wolverine national champion and three-time Olympian Kevin Sullivan will look to rely on All-American Mason Ferlic as he begins his first season as head coach in 2014.

Kevin Sullivan, a former Wolverine national champion and three-time Olympian, will serve as U-M's head men's cross country coach and assistant men's track and field coach.

The Wolverines will compete in nine meets during the 2014 cross country season, including their annual season-opening Michigan Open on Aug. 29 at Hudson Mills Metropark.

Freshman Ben Flanagan secured the silver medal in the men's junior 6K race to help Team Canada finish second in the team standings at the NACAC Cross Country Championships.
