Freshman Aaron Howell used a strong showing in the final three events of the heptathlon, including the final 800m run, to finish 16th overall and earn All-America second team honors.

Erin Finn took sixth place in the 10,000m (32:50.14) to earn All-America first team honors, while Brook Handler secured a spot in Saturday's 1,500m final on the second day of NCAA Outdoors.

In her NCAA Outdoor Championships debut, Alex Leptich placed 22nd in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:34.81 to claim All-America honorable mention on the opening day of the event.

Erin Finn (10,000m), Brook Handler (1,500m), Aaron Howell (heptathlon), Alex Leptich (3,000m steeplechase) and Cindy Ofili (100m hurdles) will represent U-M at the NCAA Championships from June 11-14 in Eugene, Ore.

Erin Finn, the 2014 Big Ten Athlete of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Athlete of the Championships, added Great Lakes Region Athlete of the Year to her list of outdoor track and field accolades.
