U-M recorded personal bests in the weight throw, pole vault, heptathlon and 400-meter run during the second day of action at the Akron Invitational.

Aaron Baumgarten came in first in the 5K on the first day of Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational with a personal best, while Drake Johnson (60 hurdles) and Chris Maye (60 dash) reached day-two semifinals.

Steven Bastien is third in the heptathlon -- including a PR in the shot put -- after day one of the Akron Invitational, where Charlie DeJonge and Ben Hester also competed.

Michigan will compete at Notre Dame's Loftus Field House and Akron's Stile Athletics Field House for the Meyo and Akron Invitationals this weekend (Fri-Sat., Feb. 5-6).

Wolverine runners wrapped up competition at the Vanderbilt Invitational, while pole vaulters competed at SVSU's Jets Pizza Invitational.
